Background and challenges

The training function of the CAFOM Group is managed centrally from headquarters, with local HR representatives in the various regions. In 2023, the group created the CAFOM Academy, an internal structure dedicated to skills development and professionalization of teams.

Before quarksUp was implemented, training management was based on practices that varied from one region to another. "There were as many training plans and budgets as there were companies," explains Serge Salini, Group HR Director. Training plans were consolidated manually, budget monitoring was difficult to make reliable, and traceability was limited.

In a multi-site, multi-company group such as CAFOM, the main challenges were therefore:

Harmonize practices between entities 
Effectively manage training budgets and initiatives by entity and across the group
Simplify administrative follow-up
Leveraging internal knowledge and facilitating large-scale skills development
Digitizing training programs to support the Group's transformation toward more agile and connected ways of working

The quarksUp solution

The Cafom Group chose the quarksUp solution for its ability to consolidate the training plans of several companies within a single interface, and for its connectivity with their HR tools such as Silae for payroll. 

The solution was deployed under the leadership of the Group HR Department, in close collaboration with local HR correspondents. Today, the module is used by all stakeholders:

HR teams for budget management and administrative monitoring
Managers to identify and validate training needs
Employees can view their career paths and access the integrated e-learning platform.

Thanks to quarksUp, we have harmonized our 32 training plans and saved considerable time in consolidating data.

The social report, which used to take several days to complete, can now be done in just three clicks.
