Background and challenges

Like many companies in the construction and public works sector, Charier was facing a very complex HR environment:

processes that are still largely paper-based,
Excel files accumulated over the years,
specialized tools that are isolated from one another
manual re-entries leading to errors, loss of information, or duplicates,
and a fragmented HR vision, making overall management difficult.

These limitations were holding back both HR performance and the employee experience. The group wanted to be able to recruit, onboard, train, evaluate, and compensate within a fluid and connected process that met the expectations of employees and field managers.

The project's priorities:

Digitize the entire HR cycle, from recruitment to career management;
Create bridges between key stages (Recruitment → Onboarding → Interviews → Training → Career → Compensation);
Completely abandon paper and Excel;
Enhance data traceability and confidentiality;
Provide a consolidated view of HR activities for all agencies;
Supporting skills development, a strategic issue in a sector marked by talent shortages and the need for high levels of safety.

At the same time, the Human Resources Department wanted to evolve the HR function toward a more strategic role:
